Laser sintering

Conventional laser sintering techniques are only suitable for use on metals and plastics. Innalox has developed laser sintering techniques for technical ceramics. In this technique, ceramic powder is laser-heated to temperatures of up to 3000°C. This allows complex shapes to be created.


Advantages
Complex shapes can be easily made with laser sintering, even including internal structures. The density of the material can be made as high as 98%.

Applications
SLM is extremely well-equipped for rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing.
